We have seen our fair share of photo sharing tools lately, but Troovi sets itself apart from the competition by offering an anonymous, fast, and easy to use photo sharing service in an exceptionally well designed package.

[...]

While Troovi’s core features are straightforward and extremely easy to use, it also has a nice set of additional features like RSS feeds and usage statistics for every album (views, visits, downloads).

Troovi is undoubtedly the best service for uploading, hosting and sharing photos.

This is one of the best services available on the web to send and share their pictures directly from your computer.

This is the only place I can find to comment on the performance of your system. This evening [approximately 10:00 p.m. central time] I have had a very difficult time uploading photos. I could only get one to load at a time. The little picture that was supposed to tell me about progress on uploading jumped over to almost full and then never moved. The thumbnail never appeared on the screen until I went back to my.troovi. Then it would show up. And the whole process seemed to be very slow.

Perhaps you have been overwhelmed by too much attention from ReadWriteWeb readers. If so that will probably subside. If not the service needs to get a good deal better.

  2. Hi Bob,
thank you for your feedback. Unfortunatly your experience with Troovi was not as good as it should be. So, let’s try to change that.

Yes, we received a good load of traffic within the last days, but our servers were in every second in these days up and reachable without any problem (low cpu load, no IO problems, enough bandwidth available, etc). I assume the problem is located somewhere else. In order to track down the problem, could you please supply me with some information about your system? Which operating system and browser (which version?) are you using? Which Flash version have you installed? Any toolbars or plug-ins activated in your browser? How are you connected to the internet?

I would appreciate it if you could supply this information as a comment here, or by sending an email to support AT troovi DOT com.

    Thanx alot in advance.
    Robert
